Orthodontics
Our staff is dedicated to offering the most advanced treatment available. Everything from self-ligating braces, clear ceramic braces, orthopedic appliances, retainers, splints, and various other appliances are available. If surgical orthodontics is needed to correct more severe skeletal discrepancies, the doctors will work closely with an oral surgeon to coordinate the procedure most effective for your needs.
To assure a safe, clean environment for our patients, we follow the highest standards of sterilization. We use state of the art equipment such as digital radiography, miniscrews (TADS), and soft tissue lasers. All of our procedures are in accordance with the American Dental Association, the American Orthodontic Association, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
What can braces do for you?
-
Help achieve a balance between the teeth and face by correctly positioning the teeth, facial bones, chewing muscles, and jaw joints.
-
Help decrease the risk for dental problems, such as cavities, unhealthy wear, and gum disease often associated with crowded or crooked teeth.
-
Help improve self-confidence and self-esteem. It is said that if you smile, the world smiles back at you. Unfortunately, too many of us hide our smiles because we are unhappy with the appearance of our teeth.
Braces for Children
We all want to give our children the very best care possible and to ready them for happy and healthy futures. In accordance with the American Orthodontic Association’s recommendations, Dr. Paul and Dr. Kevin encourage your child to see an orthodontist by the age of seven. Sometimes early treatment can help reduce the severity of future orthodontic problems such as the need for permanent teeth extractions and bite related issues.
Braces for Adults
Orthodontic treatment is no longer just for the younger generation. Our office is treating an increasing number of adult patients. We find that everyone enjoys the benefits of a healthy, beautiful smile. Our staff understands the functional and aesthetic needs of our adult patients. Whether you are suffering from crowded teeth, spacing, or even jaw positioning problems, the doctors here at APDA Orthodontics can design an orthodontic treatment plan that fits your needs and desires.
Treatment
At your consultation, the doctor will complete a thorough examination of your teeth, facial structure, and jaw relationship. Impressions, digital radiographs, and photographs will be completed at this time. These records will allow Dr. Paul and Dr. Kevin to diagnose and develop a personalized treatment plan for you. This is not a “one size fits all” treatment. We understand each patient has different needs and aesthetic goals. We feel these specialized treatment plans provide the extra, individual care we strive to give to all of our patients. The doctors will inform you of your orthodontic needs and discuss the details of your treatment plan including treatment time, financial concerns, and any additional questions you may have.
